KidWind Challenge

The KidWind Challenge is a hands-on, STEM competition that engages students through the lens of wind energy. Student teams design, build, and test small scale wind turbines at regional competitions across the state.

The K-12 Energy Benchmarking Project supports students in analyzing the energy performance of their school building. Students will learn to use professional energy auditing equipment to find ways for the school to become more energy efficient.

What we do

We provide education, grant information, and technical assistance to small businesses and agricultural producers, K-12 educators, and governmental entities. Our goal is to encourage the implementation of energy efficiency and renewable energy and provide energy-focused STEM opportunities for Kansas students.
