Cool Car Creations

In partnership with the Midwest Dream Car Collection in Manhattan and Beloit Jr/Sr High School, we are hosting an energy- and car-themed hands-on STEM event for 4th-8th graders! Check out the details below. Please let us know if you plan to attend using the form below, so we can get an accurate headcount! 

Location: Midwest Dream Car Collection (3007 Anderson Ave, Manhattan, KS 66503)

Activities: Wind-powered sailcars, kid-powered racetrack, solar cars, and more! 

Target audience: Students going into the 4th-8th grade (adults/guardians are welcome to stay)

Event Facilitators: 

  • Kansas Energy Program (part of K-State Engineering Extension)
  • Beloit Junior High School teacher and students (Christie Fouts is a junior high teacher, 2024 recipient of The NEED Project's Bob Thompson Excellence in Energy Education Award, and a KidWind coach with multiple teams attending past national/world events)
  • Midwest Dream Car Collection
