  • 2023 KidWind Regionals Timeline [2023 PDF]
    • Several reminders will be sent out to registered coaches leading up to each KidWind Challenge, this timeline is a collection of important dates and deadlines leading up to each Regional.
      • January 2, 2023 - confirm number of teams you are planning to bring
      • January 2-6, 2023 - waitlisted teams contacted as space becomes available in each event
      • Three weeks before each challenge - all team information submission deadline

Documents used at Challenge

  • KidWind Generators
    • This is the only part required to be used in your turbine.
    • KEP will provide one generator per team at no charge.
    • Generators can be purchased online for $7.
  • GoDirect Energy Sensor
  • Wind Tunnels
    • These are available for loan through KEP and are also include a GoDirect Energy Sensor, anemometer, and water weights.
    • Tunnels will be loaned out on a first-come, first-served basis for short periods of time to help KEP serve as many teams as possible.
    • For teams that do borrow a tunnel, we have "How-To" videos to help with the setup and take down of the wind tunnels. Following these videos will help teams assemble the tunnel properly, keep all the pieces together, and prevent damage to the wind tunnel.
