Read Before Registering Below
For now, we just need to know how many teams you plan on registering and their age division. We will ask for more specific information as the date of the KidWind Challenge gets closer (student names, grades, food allergies, etc).
You may register a maximum of six teams per school for the KidWind Challenge (three for the 4th-8th grade division and three for the 9th-12th grade division). However, if you are registering a third team in either age division, the third team will automatically be added to a waiting list. If a spot becomes available, we will notify schools in the order of registration. This limit allows more schools to participate.
If you are having a large number of students at your school participate, consider hosting an internal competition to decide which teams will attend the Regional KidWind Challenge. You can even borrow a wind tunnel! We recommend a team size of 3-5 students. Scoring is based on turbine energy output and efficiency, a knowledge quiz, a presentation to judges, and an instant challenge. Need more info? Check out our KidWind Resources or send us a quick email!
At this time, the NC Manhattan 2024 event is full. We are still accepting registration for waitlisted teams.
