Donations

The Kansas Energy Program (KEP), housed within K-State Engineering Extension, is a non-profit organization. If you would like to make a donation or be a financial sponsor, you can do this through the K-State Foundation website using a credit card, Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, or DAF pay (Donor Advised Fund). If you'd prefer to pay by check or if you need an invoice, please send us an email.

NOTE: The donation page may be set up for specific KidWind Challenge sponsorship levels. If you'd prefer to provide a donation to another area, send us a quick email to let us know. We typically have three main areas where sponsorship funds are used: KidWind Challenge, K-12 Energy Benchmarking, and Energy Education.

Here is how funds are most often used:

  • Lunch and snacks
  • Reimbursing teachers for mileage to travel to/from events
  • Reimbursing teachers if they must pay for a substitute while attending events hosted by KEP
  • Energy education materials such as wind turbine kits
  • Awards for winning teams (can be used to help teams travel to World KidWind Challenge)
  • Additional energy education activities, including the World KidWind Challenge
