Choose the data logger that makes the most sense for your investigation. We also have Data Logger lessons to help students learn how to set up data loggers, collect data, and analyze data. You can find those lessons here.

  1. Data Logger 4-Channel Thermocouple: Product Website
  2. Data Logger Low Energy Carbon Dioxide - Temp/RH Bluetooth: Product Website
  3. Data Logger MX Temp/RH (Bluetooth): Product Website and Product How To Guide
  4. *Data Logger Motor On/Off: Product Website, How to use Motor on/off Data Logger Video
  5. *Data Logger Occupancy/Light: The HOBO Occupancy/Light Data Loggers do exactly what you would think: they log data about how often lights are on or off in a room and whether that room is occupied. They are a great way to analyze which rooms could benefit from motion sensors to turn lights on or off. If you are looking for a project where students must collect and analyze data, this is an excellent option. There are two options available: UX90-005x and UX90-006x. The UX90-005x detects motion up to 5 meters (16.4 ft) away, while the UX90-006x detects motion up to 12 meters (39.4 ft) away.
  6. Data Logger State
  7. *Data Logger Temperature/RH: Product Website
  8. Data Logger: 4 Channel Analog: Product Website
  9. *Data Logger: Plug Load: This type of data logger can monitor energy consumption of AC-powered plug in loads AND be used as a watt meter. Product Website

*These data loggers are our most popular ones and also used in the K-12 Energy Benchmarking Project.
