Students strategically plan and deploy devices to collect data on behavior (energy conservation). Students will learn how to use HOBOware software to program data loggers. There are many options of data loggers that you can check out in our Equipment Library. To quickly find what's in our library, filter to "Dataloggers" under "Equipment Type" in the yellow navigation bar. One of our most popular is the occupancy/light logger.
We have created a lesson to help you share this resource with students. It includes how to set up the equipment, collect data, and analyze data. It would take at least 2 class periods to collect and analyze, but longer if you want to collect data for consecutive days.
