KidWind Registration

To reserve a place for your teams in the 2026 Kansas KidWind Challenge, fill out the form below starting Sept 10, 2025. We'll ask for more specific information about your students and teams as the date of the KidWind Challenge gets closer.

New for 2025! (Stay tuned for 2026 changes)

  • Three age divisions to align more closely with KidWind Worlds: 4th-5th, 6th-8th, and 9th-12th 
  • New staggered registration process! See timeline below. When registering, you will choose how many teams your school would like to bring (up to three per age division). However, only one team per age division per school will be guaranteed initially until registration is full (approx. 16-18 teams per region). This will help to ensure everyone has a fair chance and more schools can participate.  Second and third teams in each age division will be automatically waitlisted. 
  • Other generator options at State for 6th-8th and 9th-12th graders. When registering below, let us know about your interest in this option if your teams make it to State. KEP will use this information to determine which generator divisions will be offered at State. Note: You will NOT be locked into your generator status until you are registered at the State event.

If you have a large number of participants, consider hosting an internal competition to decide which teams will attend. We recommend a team size of 3-5 students. Need more info? Check out our KidWind Resources or send us a quick email!
